The White House deleted an ICE arrests video that had been posted to X earlier in the week — but then uploaded a new video taunting Sabrina Carpenter to their TikTok account instead

The deletion comes after the pop star slammed the Trump administration for using her hit song "Juno" as the video’s soundtrack

In a Tuesday, Dec. 2 post shared on X, Carpenter called the video and the use of her song in it "evil and disgusting"

The White House has deleted a video posted on X to promote ICE arrests after Sabrina Carpenter's response to her song being used to soundtrack the clip went viral — but uploaded another to its TikTok account instead.

The Trump Administration shared a video highlighting recent ICE arrests as the pop star’s hit song "Juno" played on Monday, Dec. 1. The video showed various clips of immigration and customs enforcement officers detaining people as the lyrics "Have you ever tried this one?" repeated over and over again. The White House captioned the video, "Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye 👋😍."

The White House deleted the video from its X account on Friday, Dec. 5, following Carpenter’s viral response. In her comment under the since-deleted post that garnered over a million likes, the “Manchild” singer called the video “evil and disgusting.”

“Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda,” Carpenter, 26, wrote in her X post on Tuesday, Dec 2.

Though the video is no longer available on X, where Carpenter responded, it is still posted on the White House's TikTok account — without the audio. Instead, the White House uploaded a new video Friday afternoon, splicing a clip of Marcello Hernandez and Carpenter from her Saturday Night Live appearance with more footage of arrests, and voicing over the singer's joke about needing to arrest someone for being too "hot" with "illegal." It's captioned, "PSA: If you're a criminal illegal, you WILL be arrested & deported. ✨"

this video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.

During her Short n’ Sweet Tour, Carpenter would jokingly "arrest" a fan (often a celebrity) while she performed "Juno."

The specific audio used in the administration’s video is from a viral TikTok trend in which users mimic sex positions each time the lyrics “Have you ever tried this one?” play. The trend is inspired by the singer’s bit on tour, where she does the same on stage.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE on Tuesday, Dec. 2, Abigail Jackson, a White House spokesperson, said, “Here’s a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?”

The singer is one of many artists who have previously spoken out against the Trump Administration’s use of their songs in their promotional videos. Those who have shared their frustration include Céline Dion, Bruce Springsteen, Linkin Park, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo.
