Phil Collins revealed his health challenges are ongoing and require he receive 24-hour care.
The Genesis drummer, 74, opened up about his health struggles as he continues to grapple with the complications from his 2007 spinal injury, which caused damage to vertebrae in his upper neck and subsequent nerve damage.
"You know, I have a 24-hour live-in nurse to make sure I take my medication as I should do. I've had challenges with my knee," he said in BBC's "Eras" podcast series. "I had everything that could go wrong with me, did go wrong with me."
After five surgeries on his knee, Collins said he only has one that works, adding, "I can walk, albeit with assistance, you know, crutches or whatever."
"I got COVID in (the) hospital. My kidneys started to back up. Everything seemed to converge at the same time," he said.

The Grammy-winning artist said his kidneys were "messed up" after a period of heavy drinking.
Now sober for more than two years, Collins said he enjoyed leaving touring and finally getting to "do all those things that I couldnāt do."
"I guess I had too much of it. I was never drunk, although I fell over a couple of times. But it is just one of those things that happened and it all caught up with me, and I spent months in hospital," he said. "Itās just been a difficult, interesting, frustrating last few years. But itās all right now."
At the announcement of Genesisā farewell tour in 2021, he told the BBC that he could "barely hold a stick with (one) hand" due to the degenerative condition.
Throughout his music career, Collins achieved eight Grammy Awards, including album of the year in 1986 for āNo Jacket Requiredā and record of the year in 1991 for āAnother Day in Paradise.ā
He also took home an Oscar for his sweet ode to spiritual bonding, āYouāll Be in My Heartā from Disneyās āTarzan," and was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Genesis in 2010.
