Paul McCartney said there's a coveted Prince cover that exists.

During an interview on Sunday, May 24 with Vernon Kay on BBC Radio's Tracks of My Years show, the rock icon spoke about how the Purple One put his own spin on a Beatles classic.

According to McCartney, 83, Prince covered the legendary rock group's anthem "The Long and Winding Road" from the 1970 album Let It Be.

“I'm going to ask them [Prince's estate]. I could make it into something really good,” he said of the rendition.

The song, which was recorded by Prince during a rehearsal, has never been officially released and is "kind of rocky."

"He plays some really good guitar on it,” said McCartney.

The "Maybe I'm Amazed" singer recalled being with "some guy" a few years after Prince died in 2016 at the age of 57, who asked if he'd heard Prince's take on "The Long and Winding Road."

“‘Have you heard Prince do ‘Long and Winding Road?'” McCartney said the man, who he thought was a photographer for Prince, asked him, to which he replied: “‘Well, no. That's one of my songs. ‘I don't think he ever did it.'"

McCartney was then proven wrong. "So he sent it to me, and it's really great," added McCartney.

In the same interview, he revealed Prince's 1986 track “Kiss” was his favorite track.

“He's a wizard,” said McCartney, also noting Prince was a "special guy."

Elsewhere in the conversation, the "Live and Let Die" performer spoke about the similarities between Taylor Swift and the Beatles' success — and if he had any advice for her.

“You do see the parallel, you know the fame and the amount of fame,” he said. “The worldwide fame that Taylor Swift has and that we had, but I don't think she needs any advice to tell you the truth."
