Oreo may be hailed as milk's favorite cookie, but let's be real, milk isn't the only one that calls the crème-filled cookies a favorite. Oreo fans love everything from the classic cookie to the extra-filled Double Stuf, and every flavor in between—including the newly launched Firecracker Pop Cookies.

Even some of our favorite celebrities consider themselves fans of the dunkable, versatile Oreo. Whether it's Benny Blanco making an Oreo-filled dessert for his wife, Selena Gomez, or Rihanna adding Oreos to her backstage rider, A-listers can't seem to get enough of the cookies-and-cream treat.

Years ago, Oreo began collaborating with some of the cookie's biggest superstar fans, starting with Lady Gaga's pink and green Chromatica cookies. Since then, we've seen Post Malone's salted caramel- and shortbread-flavored Oreos and Selena Gomez's cinnamon- and chocolate-flavored Oreos hit shelves.

Now, Oreo is debuting its first-ever global partnership with a new cookie flavor made in collaboration with BTS.

Oreo Launches New BTS Cookies

Oreo and the Grammy-nominated South Korean boy band have teamed up to bring a new Oreo cookie to more than 80 global markets. Much like Selena Gomez's Oreos, which drew inspiration from one of her favorite drinks, horchata, BTS's new, limited-edition Oreo flavor is inspired by a popular Korean street food called hotteok, which is a sweet, stuffed pancake.

Oreo took the caramelized brown sugar and toasty pancake flavors of hotteok and turned them into a multi-layer crème that sits between two purple-hued Golden Oreo wafers. The collab also features special packaging that pays homage to South Korea's street market culture.

"In Korea, there's a national snack called hotteok, and we took inspiration from it and explained to OREO what that flavor tastes like. We wanted to share with everyone the kinds of dessert flavors Koreans enjoy," explained Jin, one of the members of BTS, in a press release. "It really tastes a lot like hotteok."

Each purple cookie is embossed with one of 13 unique designs, one for each year the band has been performing. The designs feature everything from the band's name to a BTS light stick and three Oreo cookies that, when combined, spell out a special message. You'll need to collect all the Oreos to decode the message, which launches a global campaign for Oreo and BTS.

Beginning June 8, fans can scan the QR code on the Oreo x BTS packaging to write the world's largest love letter to the band. For each letter that's submitted online, fans have a chance to score exclusive Oreo and BTS-themed prizes.

The limited-edition BTS Oreo cookies will hit store shelves, including club stores, nationwide on June 8. However, if the BTS Army can't wait that long, the Oreos will be available for preorder beginning June 1 on Oreo's site.

Oreo's new BTS brown sugar pancake cookies will only be available for a limited time, while supplies last. With BTS making its long-awaited return following the band members' mandatory military service and fans eager to catch them on their global reunion tour, we'd wager that these cookies won't stay on shelves long.
