Although her TikTok is filled with piercing content, it also includes videos featuring her daughter, Kapree
She recently posted a Christmas wishlist series, and the first installment garnered over 2.5 million views as followers were stunned by the preteen’s seemingly extravagant requests
Mackenzie Ellsworth is a professional piercer who loves showcasing her work online, but sprinkled throughout her content, fans also catch glimpses of her bond with her oldest child and only daughter, Kapree.
From makeup and hair tutorials to room tours – the duo often offer a playful look into their everyday lives.
“Kapree is a star and loves being on camera, so she loves making videos with me,” Ellsworth, 32, tells PEOPLE. “It’s a little hobby that we love and do together!"
Ellsworth, who was also the only girl in a family of five boys, says that Kapree is her "daughter, sister and best friend in one."

"I know people have opinions on that, but I hope I’m creating a relationship with her that she knows she can come to me for anything, and her mom will always hear and try to understand her," she shares. "There is nothing off the table in our home. That all being said, yes, Kapree and I both probably treat ourselves more than the boys do!"
A few of their recent videos on TikTok drew attention — and criticism — from viewers when the 11-year-old revealed her shocking $5,300 Christmas wishlist.
The first part of the preteen’s wishlist featured pricey items like a $90 sweatshirt, $98 Lululemon leggings, the new iPhone 17, and a lineup of makeup and skincare products.
Viewers were quick to react, with many pointing out that the $1,808 list seemed far from reasonable – especially for her age.
“So I’m 14 and I want Pokémon cards, mini brands, squishmallows, and an Apple Pencil,” one TikTok user admitted, as others labeled the list "sad."
If that wasn’t enough, the mother-daughter duo added fuel to the fire with a second installment totaling $3,492, which included requests like the newest Apple Watch and a $2,500 hairless cat, known as a Sphynx.
“What happened to kids wanting toys ???” one commenter asked.

However, in a third video of Kapree’s Christmas wishlist series, the two revealed to viewers that the initial posts were actually “satire – to an extent.”
“You should see her real list, it’s like a mile long,” Mackenzie tells PEOPLE. Still, she notes that her daughter is well aware that she might not get everything she wants under the tree.
And although Kapree is asking for some of the same things she listed in the initial videos — such as Lululemon leggings and a pricey sweatshirt — the total of her actual wishlist ended up being $441, which Ellsworth emphasizes is much more “reasonable.”
“My husband and I work hard to provide an amazing life for our kids,” she emphasizes. “Kapree is also the oldest of four and such a big help; she deserves it.”
Still, Ellsworth says all her kids "get the same amount" of gifts each year, but as they get older, "the things they ask for are more expensive," she explains.
"So Kapree’s items are more [expensive] than her 4-year-old brother's, who asked for MAGNA-TILES and cat figurines," she says. "But like I said...we live in our means and work really hard for what we have."
While the clothing and skincare requests don’t bother Ellsworth nearly as much as they bothered her followers, she says an iPhone is a different story — and that her daughter will have to wait until she’s a bit older.

“We definitely draw the line on some things,” she admits. “Like no – I’m not getting my 11-year-old the newest iPhone.”
As for when the tween will get a phone of her own, Ellsworth notes that they "haven't fully decided," but plan to monitor her screen time when that day comes — especially after getting a firsthand look at how intense the internet can be.
"That being said, I will be taking the precautions to keep her safe from the negativity that can come from having a phone," she says.

Regarding the flood of comments on their “spontaneous” and purposefully outlandish videos, Ellsworth says she wasn’t surprised by the reactions.
“I mean, I knew to an extent what I was getting into with posting a video like that, but it did open my eyes to how nasty the internet can be,” she shares. “I feel sorry for the trolls of the internet, honestly. That must be a really sad life.”
While the holidays may have gotten off to a bit of a rocky start, the mother-daughter duo couldn't be more excited to see what the season brings.
