Netflix's Enola Holmes 3 released an action-packed teaser trailer Wednesday.

Star Millie Bobby Brown's main character learns on the way to her wedding that her brother has been kidnapped.

Enola Holmes 3 is available July 1 on Netflix.

Millie Bobby Brown's Enola Holmes will be back in our lives soon.

"Life was everything I wanted it to be," Brown, as Holmes, declares in the teaser trailer for Enola Holmes 3 that dropped Wednesday. "And it was just the two of us. Those are the best times of all."

The next installment of the story of Sherlock Holmes' little sister is about love, yes, but also every bit of the adventure audiences see in tales of her brother. While the first moments of the trailer depict her dancing and playing with her love, Louis Partridge's Tewkesbery, she quickly faces a complication when he proposes marriage.

But it's not all hearts and flowers. While Holmes is being taken by carriage to her wedding, she's informed that her famous brother (played by Henry Cavill) has been kidnapped. With that news, she leaps up and, in her wedding dress, cocks a gun.

The movie's official logline suggests there's much more action in store: "Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before."

Brown, Partridge, and Cavill will again be joined by Helena Bonham Carter (Eudoria Holmes, the mother of Enola and Sherlock), Himesh Patel (Dr. John Watson), and Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Moriarty).

Just as with the first two Enola Holmes films, the third is based on the series of books by Nancy Springer and written by Jack Thorne. Director Philip Barantini, of Adolesence, is taking over that role from Harry Bradbeer.

The first two movies came out in 2020 and 2022, so there's been a lengthy hiatus. Since the last installment, Brown herself was married, to Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi, in May 2024. They welcomed a daughter in August.

She will again produce and, this time, so will her husband.

Brown has previously explained that she took on the project after her sister's introduction to the books.

"It all started with the book by Nancy Springer. My older sister, Paige, read it first and then I read it," she told Vogue in September 2020. "I had a gut feeling I wanted to bring it to life and I was like, 'How do we get this done?' Then, my incredible dad said, 'We’re going to find a way.’ We took it to Legendary [Pictures] and explained the premise and why this story needs to be told. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a young female British lead [in a film]. Obviously, we have Hermione from Harry Potter, but she wasn’t the lead. So, we wanted to make something that would inspire young girls."
