"He asked me, he's like, 'Do you have any pets?'" Cassidy continued. She told the man that she owned a pit bull, and then detailed his reaction."This man's face completely dropped, and he looks at me and he was like, 'A pit bull? I would not imagine you with a pit bull at all,'" she said. "Then he begins to literally tell me pit bulls shouldn't be allowed in the U.S., that pit bulls are the most dangerous breed of dog, and they all deserve to be killed," she said, mouthing the last word silently."He was like, 'I would never let my dog meet your dog, ever.' And he's laughing, but also being so serious at the same time. It was the weirdest, most absurd thing ever," Cassidy said. She then revealed that she got up and left the date.
Cassidy frequently makes content depicting her everyday life online to her millions of social media followers. She was also dating the late Liam Payne for two years before his death at age 31 in October 2024.On April 24, the content creator posted a video on her TikTok and Instagram platforms to share that she felt "ready to start dating again." Speaking to viewers, she admitted that she wasn't sure what to expect moving forward, but she was looking ahead toward her future. "I think that love after loss is a big chapter within your grief journey and I don't know how that's gonna feel," she said. "But what I do know is that I loved being in love. I want to have kids one day. I want to have a family, and I know Liam would want that for me, and if the roles were reversed I would want him to be happy and fall in love again."
She maintained that she will "always love" the late singer. "That will never change, no matter who I meet and who comes into my life," said Cassidy, who became choked up during her video. "I am probably going to — not even probably, I'm going to think about Liam on my wedding day. I'm going to think about him every day for the rest of my life, and that goes without saying."
