In a transcript of an October deposition that was filed in court Thursday, the *Jane the Virgin* actor admitted that in his first-ever meeting with the *Gossip Girl* actress to discuss the film *It Ends With Us*, he talked about being circumcised. Baldoni also said that Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, and several members of the couple's staff were present when the meeting occurred in Lively's New York City apartment in December 2022.

According to the transcript, which ** has reviewed, Baldoni said Lively was "very pregnant" when they first met to discuss their potential collaboration on an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's hit novel, which he ultimately directed and costarred in.

Lively's attorney Michael Gottlieb asked Baldoni during the deposition if they "discussed whether Ms. Lively's baby would be circumcised" while talking about the *Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants* star's then-unborn son, who was born in February 2023.

"That was a conversation, yes," Baldoni acknowledged.

Gottlieb then inquired, "In the context of that conversation, did you at any point share with Ms. Lively whether you were circumcised?"

Baldoni responded, "Yes."

The attorney also asked to clarify, "Did Ms. Lively ask you whether you were circumcised?"

Baldoni said, "Directly, no."**

Gottlieb later asked, "Have you ever told any other work colleague at any point in time about your genitalia?"

"I don't talk about my genitalia," Baldoni responded, "so no."

The *Five Feet Apart* director also recalled the other individuals who were present in the apartment during the conversation. "There were people going all around," Baldoni said. "Mr. Reynolds was in and out of the conversation. She had, I think, two nannies. I felt like there was a housekeeper there. Her assistant was walking around. I think she had two assistants there. Her and I were sitting on the couch, but there was people all around."

A representative for Baldoni declined to comment to EW on the matter. A representative for Lively didn't immediately respond to request for comment.

After widespread speculation of a behind-the-scenes feud between Lively and Baldoni, Lively filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department against her costar and director in December 2024. In the complaint, she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of *It Ends With Us* and claimed that he deployed a smear campaign to turn public opinion against her. Shortly thereafter, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer, in New York federal court. Baldoni has denied the allegations against him.

Baldoni then filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds, claiming civil extortion, defamation, breach of contract, and invasion of privacy. Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed the countersuit in June.

Baldoni's attorneys filed a motion for summary judgment last month, requesting that Judge Liman rule in their favor without proceeding to the trial that is scheduled for March 2026. On Thursday, Lively's attorneys filed a motion opposing that request, in the hopes that the trial will proceed as planned.**
