All good things eventually come to an end.
Football fans have enjoyed NFL action on Mondays since Week 1, which dates all the way back to Sept. 8. For the first time in a long time, those same fans will have to find a different way to spend a Monday night since Joe Buck and Troy Aikman aren't walking through that door.
The league wrapped up the regular season on Sunday, Jan. 4 and finalized the playoff bracket while sending 18 teams home for the offseason. That leaves just 14 teams left with a chance to be crowned champions in just over a month's time.
Now begins the long wait for the playoffs to begin on Saturday, Jan. 10. On the bright side, fans won't be without "Monday Night Football" for long.
It will return for the final game of wild-card weekend on Monday, Jan. 12.

There is not a "Monday Night Football" game in Week 18.
The NFL's final regular season slate was played across Saturday and Sunday. With the league now trimmed down to 14 teams, wild-card weekend begins this Saturday, Jan. 10.
"Monday Night Football" will return for one last time this season, closing out the opening round of the playoffs on Monday, Jan. 12.
