Days of Our Lives alumni Nadia Bjorlin and Kyler Pettis are set to star opposite one another in the upcoming independent film Veronica & Julian, slated for release later this year.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film centers on a successful and confident marketing executive, played by Bjorlin, who unexpectedly falls in love with an aspiring, and younger, architect portrayed by Pettis. Set in modern-day New York City, the May-December romance explores themes of desire, vulnerability, and self-discovery.

The film also stars Blake Jenner, Erinn Cummings, Chrystee Pharris, Jennafer Newberry, Robert Lee Leng, and Mark Famiglietti.

Veronica & Julian will be produced, written, and directed by Otoja Abit.

Bjorlin joined Days of Our Lives in 1999 as high school student Chloe Lane. The character quickly became a fan favorite as part of the show’s ‘Last Blast’ teen set, alongside including Shawn Brady (Jason Cook), Belle Black (Kirsten Storms), Jan Spears (Heather Lindell), Philip Kirakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson), Jason Welles (Aaron Van Wagner) and Mimi Lockheart (Farah Fath). Bjorlin appeared on and off on the soap until her exit in 2023, including a return for the digital spin-off Days Of Our Lives’ Last Blast Reunion.

In addition to her role on Days of Our Lives, Bjorlin has appeared on web series Beacon Hill and Venice: The Series. Her most recent project includes the independent film A Murder Between Friends, co-staring Joan Collins and Jacob Young.

Pettis portrayed Theo Carver from 2015 until his exit in 2018. For his performance, he earned a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.

Abit previously produced and directed the short film Jitters in 2018, followed by a feature film A New York Christmas Wedding in 2020. He also worked as a professional actor since his debut in the 2009 short Keeper, amassing more than 20 additional credits including Romeo and Juliet in Harlem, Map of BrooklynBlack-Ish and most recently Cold Wallet.

Veronica & Julian is expected to be released later this year.
