Feldmanâs legal team said that comments made by Feldman about Haim in a new Apple TV documentary have been mischaracterized and "sensationalized"

Corey Feldman is denying claims that he accused the late Corey Haim of molesting him.
In a statement obtained by Us Weekly, Feldmanâs legal team said that a new Apple TV documentary, Corey Feldman vs The World, mischaracterized Feldman's recollection of specific events involving Haim, who died in 2010 at the age of 38.
âMr. Feldman did not have any involvement in the documentary Corey Feldman vs The World. The producers of the film made the film without Mr. Feldmanâs knowledge and obtained the footage through dishonest means,â the statement read.
âMr. Feldman is investigating the source of the footage, the producerâs claimed rights to it, and the role of his name, image and likeness," the statement continued. "Mr. Feldman plans to pursue all legal options available to him once his investigation is complete.â

The statement also said that while Feldman, 54, did claim that Haim made advances on him, Feldman in no way asserted that Haim sexually assaulted him.

âAny article regarding the purported comment that Mr. Feldman claims Corey Haim âmolestedâ him is a sensationalized mischaracterization of the statements made in the film. Mr. Feldmanâs statement was that during the filming of The Lost Boys Mr. Haim sought to âmess aroundâ with Mr. Feldman. However, Mr. Feldman did not reciprocate his advances and contacted another party on behalf of Mr. Haim,â the statement continued.
âMr. Feldmanâs statement that Mr. Haim âmolestedâ him was in reference to Mr. Haimâs advances, and not physical molestation. The film and any other current articles on this issue distort the truth and context of Mr. Feldmanâs words and story. Mr. Feldman makes no claim that Corey Haim physically âmolestedâ him," the statement concluded.
A representative for Feldman did not immediately respond to PEOPLEâs request for comment.

In the Apple TV doc, which was released on Dec. 11, Feldman seemingly recounted an incident in which Haim asked him to engage in sexual acts while they were on the set of 1987âs The Lost Boys.
âWhen we did Lost Boys, Corey said to me, âHey man, letâs mess around.â And I said, âWhat do you mean?' â Feldman said in the footage.

Feldman went on to allege that Haim told him, âThis is what, you know, what guys in the business do, right? You know, you suck each otherâs d----, or you f--- around, you do this stuff."
Feldman continued, "But you know, when you have got somebody thatâs trying to come onto you sexually, and you donât want that, and you are a kid, and you are scared, you do whatever you can to stop it from happening. And thatâs what was happening. I was being molested by Corey Haim. Truth be told.â
Haimâs mother, Judy, pushed back on the apparent claim about her son in the documentary.
âI saw a little bit of it, and I spoke to the director, Marcie [Hume],â she said while speaking to PEOPLE. âI told her that I'm not going to pay a penny for it. But somebody actually recorded it on the phone and sent it to me. And I said, âWow, okay.â [Feldman] spoke a lot, and he said that my kid molested him, and I just couldn't believe it.â
She added that she considers Feldman âa disgusting human beingâ who âreally needs help.â
âI know he needs help because he's hiding behind my kid to stay relevant," Judy told PEOPLE. "And I think what he's doing is beyond any friend. He's calling himself a friend. What friend does what he does, what friend? They were not friends, period. He's taking advantage of someone who cannot respond. He can go to hell as far as I'm concerned."
