Aliyah Boston and Candace Parker have roasted Caitlin Clark's appearance on the cover of NBA 2K27.

Despite the third year of her WNBA career being engulfed in drama, Clark's star power continues to reach new heights. Last month, it was announced that the Indiana Fever guard would appear as the cover athlete for the deluxe edition of NBA 2K27.

Clark is the sole cover athlete for the deluxe edition. The other cover stars for NBA 2K27 are Victor Wembanyama and Derrick Rose, who will appear on the standard and ultra editions, respectively. "Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark, and Derrick Rose each come from different worlds, but they share the same obsession that has altered the trajectory of the game," said Zak Armitage, SVP & GM of NBA 2K. It comes after Caitlin Clark's net worth and salary compared to WNBA rival Angel Reese were revealed.

Clark added, "Being on the cover of NBA 2K27 is special because this game reaches fans all over the world.

"To be the first WNBA player on her own global cover means women's basketball gets to show up on that stage too. I am proud to be part of that."

However, Clark's appearance on the cover appears to have been heavily digitally altered, with some questioning whether 2K used AI to create the artwork rather than an actual image of the Fever guard.

Speaking on the Post Moves podcast, Parker and Boston were left bemused by the image and Clark's face-scan model, with both admitting the latter looks more like Portland Fire forward Bridget Carleton.

"Caitlin Clark 2K cover, unbelievable," said Parker at the beginning of the segment. "Caitlin Clark is the cover athlete of NBA 2K27 Deluxe Edition. First WNBA player to ever be featured on the global cover, Wemby's [Victor Wembanyama] on the standard edition.

"This is serious business," Boston, Clark's teammate, said. However, their attention then turned to how Clark actually looks on 2K's cover.

"Mick on X said, 'They really used an AI picture of Caitlin Clark that barely looks like her for the cover.' Because Caitlin was like I don't have time to pose for your little cover, you better use a digital picture.

"They really did use an AI cover. But it's still better than this version of Caitlin's player profile. Because this looks like a mixture of Bridget Carleton.

"Bridget Carleton, I'm staying with that one," added Boston. "Caitlin Clark and Stephanie White, your coach, all mixed in one," said Parker. "That's what this looks like."

"Big Steph? It's literally copy-paste Bridget Carleton," said Boston. "And all that though after you did face scans. So what was the reason?"

The standard edition of NBA 2K27 will cost $69.99, while the deluxe edition, which includes Clark, retails for $99.99. The limited-time edition featuring Rose will cost $149.99, though availability is limited.

It comes after Clark's "immaturity" was called out as an ex-ESPN star waded in on a WNBA controversy.
