Anthony Anderson revealed to PEOPLE that he is "no longer a bachelor" on the Star Search red carpet on Wednesday, Jan. 21

The actor shared that his new love attended the show last night and they "enjoyed it together"

Anderson previously finalized his divorce with Alvina Stewart, whom he shares kids Kyra and Nathan, in 2023

Anthony Anderson is saying “so long” to being a bachelor.

The Black-ish star, 55, revealed on the Star Search red carpet on Wednesday, Jan. 21, that he is no longer single over two years after finalizing his divorce from ex-wife Alvina Stewart in late 2023.

“I'm no longer a bachelor,” Anderson revealed to PEOPLE when asked about whether hosting Star Search on Netflix made him more of an eligible bachelor.

“My lady was at the show last night,” he added. “She enjoyed it and we enjoyed it together.”

He went on to share that he “didn’t get” any notes “last night” from her on his hosting techniques, but “we'll see how tonight is.”

Anderson previously wed Stewart — with whom he shares two children, Kyra and Nathan — on their 10-year anniversary in September 1999.

Stewart filed for divorce in 2015, after nearly two decades of marriage, but then filed to dismiss the petition in January 2017 after a reconciliation.

She then filed for divorce for a second time on March 25, 2022. Anderson responded to her request for divorce and listed their date of separation as Feb. 25, 2022 and indicated irreconcilable differences as the cause of their split.

The former Law & Order star agreed to pay Stewart spousal support and cover her attorney fees, and the estranged couple mutually decided to sell their property in Encino, California, and split the profits evenly between them. The court also ordered Anthony to co-sign with his wife on a 12-month lease "so that she may secure alternate housing."

Anderson previously revealed how he and his wife met and began dating in college in an interview with Parade in 2021. He recalled, "My sophomore year, her freshman year, I knew a girl who lived in the apartment, so I went to knock on the door to invite her to this party that me and my buddies were having.”

“My wife answered the door. I was like, 'I was coming to invite Stacey to this party we're having.' Stacey didn't show up, but my wife did — and we have been together ever since that night," he added.

He also noted that the pair were very different from each other, saying, “She's quiet, I'm loud. Opposites attract."
