With each passing day, the hype around the return of NFL legend Aaron Donald continues to amplify. Head coach Sean McVay continues to send subliminal messages about Donald potentially coming back, alluding to him making the decision to end his retirement and to return to football.
Donald has yet to make a final decision, and the Rams have confirmed that one will not be made during training camp. There's also a lack of clarity about whether Donald wishes to play an entire campaign or wait until the latter part of the season.
Recently, Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer attended Rams training camp where he spoke with the top brass of the franchise. On Tuesday, he went on the "Dan Patrick Show" to provide his take on Donald's situation, and he sounds confident that No. 99 is coming back.

"I think he's coming back, and I think he will play the full season," Breer said.
Breer also mentioned that the lack of a camp isn't an issue for Donald, as he missed the 2017 and 2018 editions before winning Defensive Player of the Year in each of those campaigns. Breer said that the team has experience dealing with getting Donald up to speed after missing camp, and that their depth will play a strong role in that process – should it occur.
The team still has high expectations for players like Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, and others. Breer implied that Donald's role would be specialized, while the rest of the roster takes on different responsibilities.
